The client on this project wanted to create a more functional area, remedy ongoing drainage issues and to do so with a very clean look. We were able to control water flow with proper patio slopes and the installation of a short retaining wall that redirected the yard flow. For the patio, we installed a light-colored concrete with a travertine texture and scored it to look like running bond tiles. The wall was a stained concrete capped with natural stone, with a short set of pressure treated timber steps up to the rear yard. The client was very pleased with the results.
